Kotorin — Raden Mother-of-Pearl Inlay, Cherry Blossom
ことりん 螺鈿 桜A tabletop orin bell whose cradle-shaped body, with every gentle rocking motion, sends out a clear, expansive tone that resonates softly. A beak-like slit holds a message card, so the piece doubles as a way to deliver your feelings along with the sound.
Choose from two colors: "Black," finished in a deep semi-matte black, and "Pearl White," with its beautiful lustrous white. Both frames are adorned with raden inlay of blue shell cut in the shape of cherry blossoms, which reveals a pearl-like shimmer depending on the viewing angle.
The orin body is made of gold-plated copper alloy, the frame of aluminum, and the pendulum of natural hematite stone. The tone has been designed to accord with the "1/f fluctuation" said to echo the rhythms of the natural world, so its clear reverberation lingers long.
The orin body is the handwork of Takaoka copperware artisans, and the cherry blossom raden inlay that of Takaoka lacquerware artisans. With the skills of two traditional crafts poured into a single vessel, the piece carries the dignity of a truly fine work of craftsmanship.

Care Instructions
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. After handling with bare hands, we recommend wiping it dry each time, as perspiration and skin oils can cause discoloration and rust. Please do not use polishing compounds or abrasive cleaning products such as Pikal, as they will damage the surface finish.
