Hana-yuragi Swaying Blossom (Earrings) – Washi Blossom Dewdrops

These earrings feature flowers born from washi paper that sway gently at the ears. Blossoms of differing sizes are linked by a chain, creating a sense of movement and depth that a single bloom alone could never express.

From 1cm squares of hand-pressed Mino washi, each beautiful petal is formed one by one using the tsumami-zaiku technique. At the center of each flower sits a translucent natural stone, encircled by a border of golden beads. A small leaf motif adorns the tip, revealing a different expression with every sway.

The lightness and soft texture unique to washi live within each of the linked flowers. Please also enjoy the subtle differences in character from flower to flower — something only handwork can produce.

As light to wear as ever, this piece grows more radiant the more it sways. Beautiful with kimono and yukata, of course, and equally striking with party attire and other special occasions. The earring fittings are made from a material that is gentle against the skin.

Delivered in a Mino washi box accented with gold leaf, so it is ready to give as a gift just as it is.
