Hatsuhana (Earrings) – Washi Blossom Dewdrop
はつ花(ピアス)- 和紙ノ華雫Tiny flower earrings born from washi paper. Petals folded over and over again create a three-dimensional presence, much like a real blossom.
From 1 cm squares of hand-made Mino washi, each beautiful petal is shaped one by one using the tsumami-zaiku technique. At the center sits a translucent natural stone, encircled by a border of golden beads. The contrast between the pure white and the glimmering stone is quietly elegant.
The lightness and soft texture unique to washi trace out the delicate shape of the flower with care. Because each piece is made by hand, every bloom has its own slightly different character — something to enjoy in itself.
Comfortably light to wear, they suit everyday outfits as well as kimono, yukata, and formal attire. The earring fittings are made from a material that is gentle on the skin.
They arrive in a Mino washi box accented with gold leaf, so they can be given as a gift just as they are.
Exposure to water and strong friction can cause fading and loss of shape. With a little care, they will be yours to enjoy for a long time.
