Mino Washi Notelet Pad — Set of 4 Designs

These original ippitsusen (small note cards) are crafted by Matsuhisa Eisuke Kamiten. The "matsuba" (pine needle) motif, treasured by the shop since its founding, appears in every one of the designs. From "Hoshi Matsuba" — an original motif in which pine needles overlap like stars — to patterns adapted from the shop's historic trademark, each sheet carries a piece of this long-established store's story.

There are four designs in all: "Hoshi Matsuba – Trademark," "Hoshi Matsuba – Large Crest," "Hoshi Matsuba – Fine Pattern," and "Pine Needles and Java Sparrow." All four come together as a single set. From patterns scattered with stars to elegantly reimagined modern designs, you can enjoy note cards with distinctly different characters.

Of particular note, "Hoshi Matsuba – Trademark" is adapted from the shop's actual trademark used during the Meiji and Taisho eras, evoking its history as a Mino washi wholesaler. The owner's personal favorite, "Pine Needles and Java Sparrow," is an auspicious design pairing pine needles — symbols of good health and eternal love — with the Java sparrow, said to bring happiness.

The paper is Mino washi, handed down through generations in Mino, Gifu Prefecture. The texture of each carefully finished sheet reflects an unwavering commitment to genuine quality.
